Official 2016 Rule IV MLB Draft Thread...
#1
Thought it would be helpful to consolidate the draft's players/conversations into one thread.  I'll try to post the picks, and then also their ranking on Keith Law's big board and the MLB Pipeline board.  If anyone has access to the BA board, I'd love to post that too.  For example:

#3 Chipper Jones (#1 KLAW; #2 MLBP; #1 BA)

June 9 picks...
3: Ian Anderson, HS RHP (#7 KLAW; #13 MLBP; #12 BA)
40: Joey Wentz, HS LHP (#22 KLAW; #16 MLBP; #26 BA)
44: Kyle Muller, HS LHP (#58 KLAW; #24 MLBP; #25 BA)
76: Brett Cumberland, Cal C (#82 KLAW; #69 MLBP; #90 BA)

June 10 picks...
80: Drew Harrington, LOU LHP  (NR KLAW; #148 MLBP; #124 BA)
109: Bryce Wilson, HS RHP (NR KLAW; #144 MLBP; #93 BA)
139: Jeremy Walker, GW RHP (NR KLAW; NR MLBP; #320 BA)
169: Matthew Gonzalez, GT 2B (#359 BA)
199: J.B Moss, TEX A&M LF
229: Tayler Hyssong, UNCW LHP
259: Tyler Neslony, TT RF
289: Marcus Mooney, SC SS

Hearing on Twitter well take Anderson at #3 so we have more money at 40 and 44?

Ian Anderson better be a fallback plan. I should have added one other option I didn't want to see: reach low on your pick just because you can underslot them and overpay a "steal" later.

Go with what you think is the BPA between Lewis, Ray, and Groome. Don't try to get greedy.

The pitchers are pretty close in rankings so it probably doesn't matter which one we take. But reading a couple reviews it sounds like he is at best a 3/4 starter.

That's what they say, but after last year's selection of Mike Soroka, Austin Riley, Trevor Belicek, and several others in later rounds...who appear like they will beat their industry projections...I have complete confidence in our scouting department and in Coppy's ability to listen to them.

I just watched a short video of him. He reminds me of Jeremy Guthrie.

I'm close do being done with this organization. Being cheap at 3 to be expensive at 40 makes no fucking sense.
