- Respect: Members of Braves-Nation.com should respect others, and avoid making derogatory comments or giving rude treatment (flaming). Also respect the privacy of others, and don't share their personal information without permission.
- Personal attacks on ANYONE, whether they are a member of this forum or not, will be deleted, and you will be warned. If you fail to heed this warning, you will be banned. This goes for members of the community all the way up the ladder to players on the team. You never know who reads this message board.
- If you are a member that is a fan of a team other than the Braves, I ask you to remember that you are posting on a Braves message board. While we are open to the opinions of people outside of the Braves fan base, we will not accept any trolling.
- Swearing: Some profanity is allowed here, but don't use it excessively, and don't direct it at another member.
- No backseat moderating: If you do not have the authority to moderate on the site, do not do so. We have enough moderators to be able to do the job ourselves. If you have any questions about whether you have the authority to moderate, look under your name and ask yourself, "do I have "Site Admin" or "Super Mod" under my name?" If the answer is no, you don't have the authority.
- Spam: Any post that is off-topic or contributes nothing useful or interesting to a thread is considered to be spam. Most spam posts will be moved or deleted. Spam includes posts that:
- only contain smilies.
- only contain a short message, such as "LOL" or "hello."
- are posted more than once, or immediate double posting. There is an edit button. Learn to use it.
- Advertising: Braves-Nation.com is a member of the Braves-Nation.com Network. The network sells advertising space. There will be no spamming of the forums or its members by companies, other sites, etc., or representatives of such, that are not Braves-Nation.com advertisers. This includes spamming via the private message feature. If you want a link on the site, purchase one.
- Text Style: Messages should be typed and formatted so that others can read and understand them. Use of ALL CAPITALS, aLtErNaTe capitalization, and/or poor spelling/grammar is discouraged.
- Copyright Information: If you are posting an article from another site, leave a link and a short snippet of the story. The last thing we need is for the copyright Gods to come after the site.
- If the information you are posting is PREMIUM information from another site, meaning you have to pay for it to get it off that site, leave ONLY a link and a brief review of the article in your own words.
- One username per person: If you are caught with more than one it is grounds for instant banishment. No warnings.
- Signature Requirements: Images in signatures shall be no larger than 200 pixels in terms of height. This will be enforced and any sig larger than that will be removed. Also try not to use multiple lines of text in your sign, a line or two of text is fine.
- Trash Bin: Some of the rules/guidelines listed above are not enforced as strictly in the Trash forum, but they may still apply.
- If you are posting something entirely off-topic that is going to be moved to the Trash Bin anyway, please just post it there in the first place.
- Corrective Action: If you do not follow the rules, we have the right to edit/delete your posts/account or deny your access to this board. If you are banned, you must not try to bypass the ban by registering new accounts, and you may not post messages to any part of the board until your ban is lifted.
