raining national league champions...

And the Cardinals won the WS two years ago, but how many people had them favored against the Mets in the first series the next year?

I don't really care about accuscore or anything, it's a cute little gimmick, but it pretty much just picks the pitching matchups and this game is basically 50/50 either way, just don't see where a pitching matchup favors Cook over Glavine.

Glavine's 2007 stats
4.45 ERA, 96 ERA+, 1.41 WHIP, 1.39 K/BB, .281 BAA, .776 OPS

Cook's 2007 stats
4.12 ERA, 116 ERA+, 1.34 WHIP, 1.39 K/BB, .279 BAA, .744 OPS

Everything for Cook is slightly better, even with him pitching half his games in Colorado.

I wonder if an ump has ever accidentally punched a player while calling him out.

Why would a player be over there behind the catcher? They turn to their side before they do that.

IMissJorgeSosa
04-07-2008, 09:19 PM
it could happen at 2nd, 3rd, or home. some players stand up quickly after a slide which makes some of those out punches somewhat close calls. i wasn't referring to strikeout calls.
