It makes me sick to watch the Mets celebrate a division title on every rerun of Sportscenter or other sports highlight shows. It just feels so "Bizarro World", and like it's a sign of the apocolypse or something.
Death (okay, not death) to the Mets!

It gives me great hope to know that they don't have enough solid starting pitching to win in the playoffs. Not unless their staff makes an incredible turn over the next two weeks.

as much as i hate the yankees....part of me would like to see the Mets go to the World Series and play the MFY...and just get swept.
i mean bad swept...as in the MFY beating the Mets like 5 - 0, 9 - 0, 11 - 0, and then 14 - 1.

agreed
or the same by san diego. 2 shutouts, 1 10+runs win and another one where pedro/glavine decides to give up after 5 straight homers

Its kinda sad really... the Muts' number three starter in October will probably be Tracshel.
I think its safe to say he won't get eight runs of support THEN.

No way would I ever want those losers to make it to the World Series.
I hope they get their asses swept in the first round.
What would be even better (assuming we don't win the WC) is the MARLINS sweep them out!

I'll take the opposite approach here and give the Mets the props that they deserve. They have absolutely decimated the NL this year, and are owed everything they were celebrating last night. Sure, it sucks that their accomplishment came at the hands of mainly our misfortune, but good for them nonetheless.
Congrats Mets fans, you earned it this year. Enjoy it.

In a related note, Julio started at 3B and batted cleanup for the Mets tonight.

They get credit from me, but I don't think they'll get deep into the playoffs with their pitching the way it is. If they hadn't had such a big lead, they may have not even gotten in. That's where they get their credit from me, they won when they had to to allow them to coast when they could. Problem is, they're still needing more time to coast and won't have it.
Unless a big turnaround in their rotation, they will take the customary 1st exit for the NL East champs.

i hope so, but the rest of the pitching in the NL is weak, and the mets have the best lineup

They get credit from me but not too much considering the fact that they've been penciled in to win the division for how many years in a row, now? I don't give them credit for finally doing something they were expected to do for such a long time.

The Muts will not win the World Series, let alone get to it...I see the Dodgers vs. The Yankees
