What do you expect out of Davies tonight?

Since he's come back from the DL, all he's done is get shelled.

Since coming back he's given up 13 runs in 7.1 innings, 7 of those runs came in 2.1 innings against these very Phillies just a little over a week ago.

What are you expecting tonight? Will he find his stuff tonight and pitch well or continue to add to his struggles?

I think he'll do better, but not great. I'd guess 4 runs in 6 innings or so.

I would absolutely take 4 runs over 6 innings. That qualifies as a "quality start" and would show that he's getting it together. I think it's just going to take him a few games to know he can trust the repaired groin to be able to push off and finish off his delivery the way he wants. I'm hoping that's the case anyway because pitchers with his "stuff" should be successful at any level.

I expect 3-4 runs over 5 innings of work. If we can get at least that, I'll be pleased with his progress
