I don't know if any of you are "computer geeks" so to say (sorry if this terminology offends), but if anyone can help I would appreciate it. I have a Dell 8400 that Windows XP is currently crapping out on. Every week or so I get a blue screen of death with some new error and end up using the 'fix Windows XP' option to correct it for at least a little while. I refrain from a complete reinstall because a.) I have two online college courses so if I mess it up I could be screwed, b.) I hate the thought of having to scrounge around looking for all the drivers I will need to get the thing working again, especially considering that I don't have high speed and can't use the automatic driver finder option and c.) my dell support has lapsed and they won't help me (at least not for less than forty dollars and hours on the phone with some dude in India) if and when I do mess it up. If anyone has an opinion I am all ears, though I am currently leaning towards just reinstalling the whole damn thing over the upcoming Thanksgiving or Christmas breaks.
