NL: Dmitri Young

Definately both the correct choices....I was rooting for Josh Hamilton had he stayed healthy and continued to produce but but Dimiti Young was almost done with baseball before the Nationals gave him a shot....now they have locked him up for two more seasons... we will be seeing plenty more of him versus the Braves the next two years!

will be interesting to see how Nats handle 1B next yr if Johnson is fully healthy...would they try and trade him for a starter?

I don't think they could get much for him. Who would really trade anything for a 1B that doesn't provide much defensively or with his wheels to set him apart from an average offensive minded 1B. Add in the fact that he's only played in 130 games once over six full seasons in the majors and missed all of the 2007 season.

He doesn't exactly have anything that would return much to a team. If a team wants Nick Johnson, they may as well sign Sean Casey at this point.

Pena has some talent...he's just a late bloomer...and I highly doubt you see these type #'s again as this will probally be his career year...

This will definitely be his career year but he's always had talent. He's never been in a place to show it off though.

He hasn't had full playing time in quite some time, and when he did he was playing in a huge ballpark. At Comerica before the walls were moved in.

Could be one of the quietest 40-homer seasons in baseball history. Had he played in a bigger media market or had the Rays been in contention, Pena would have been in the running for the MVP. He actually had a better year than Ryan Howard, and yet no one heard a thing about him. Good to see him at least getting some recognition for it.

Our team and favorite players are eating potato chips on their couch watching the playoffs while Mark Redman is pitching for a chance to go for a WS ring....the point is knock him all you want but hes in the playoffs and we are not....who should be laughing about that....definately not the Braves or their fans

Granted, I'm far from saying that Pena is more worthy than A-Rod, but under any other circumstances, it would be hard to not say he shouldn't give him a run.

A-Rod beats him in every category listed....there is not competition at all....A-Rod wins it hands down....
