well it's actually a platoon, but just to start the year...Upton was solid for me in my other franchise so I'll probally change quick...I'm trying to trade Erick Bedard(he's my AAA Ace) for a upgrade in the OF or MI

Opening Day @ Comerica Park
Detriot(0-0) Hosts Toronto(0-0)
Matchup: Jake Peavy vs Josh Beckett
1st Inning:
Peavy started of in grand style getting a easy fly out to center field and then back to back K's of Julio and ARod...Like the Jays though The Tigers went 1-2-3 in the Bottom of the inning, however The Jays did lose Beckett after 1 batter to injury. Jonah Balyiss got the call to relive him...
2nd Inning:
Peavy Retired 3 of the 4 men that stepped up to the plate allowing only a single and the Tigers also went down with out a fight after getting Magglio on to start the inning...
3rd Inning:
Peavy allowed another hit, but his 3rd K of the game and a DP later and the inning was over...The Tigers looked like they were going to going to continue to put up much of a fight with the sticks, but after a ground out by Pena Hank the Bank hit a ground rule double to Left Center, and 2 batters later a 2 Out Double broke a scoreless tie. That's all I could muster and we went to the 4th...
4th Inning
Both sides put up little fit each going 1-2-3
5th Inning
Another 1-2-3 Both Sides
6th Inning
After 5 Easy Innings for Peavy the Jays finally were able to muster a rally despite a Double Play that lead to 2 quick outs after an error to start the innning by Fielder on a grounder...Back to Back singles by the ageless one and ARod made it 1st and 2nd for Travis Buck who turned a broken bat dribbler to Blalock into his 1st career hit...Ian Kinsler would end the threat there however with a flyout to CF...
7th Inning
Another Inning complete 2 more K's for Peavy and Pena managed to throw out his 1st attempted base stealer of the young season...
8th Inning
Peavy finished in style sandwiching a ground out to 3rd in between 2 K's...With LH in out of the pen for Detriot I decided to PH Kouzmanoff for Blalock and did it every pay off...Kevin quickly made it 2-0 on a PH HR to opposite field...I would go on to strand Kelly at 3B after his 2 out triple setting up Dotel in the 9th..
9th Inning
1-2-3 go the Jays has Dotel gets save #1 sandwiching a K between 2 6-3 Putouts...

Ok to start this off...before the game I searched for upgrade because I felt that I had a need for another bat in my lineup to help provide protection for Pujols and Cabrera... I offered Bedard to almost every team, and finally found a taker... I traded Bedard along with Frank Cat for Reggie Stocker(AKA Barry Bonds) and Mike Gonzalez, who will taker over as closer for the foreseeable future.

BTW this is the most lopsided game I've ever played in any baseball game, not counting old school days of just goofing off on All Star Baseball

No offence but that kind of game just seems pointless IMO, takes the fun out of it.

I don't like them much either, in fact I played a game earlier that I lost 3-2 with the same teams matched up and Moyer-Verlander the pitching matchup...which makes that game look even stranger...I've had some high outputs before in season, but 14-15 runs is usually about it...

I'm lucky if i get over 8 or 9

I have alot of close games like 3-2 then every so often I get double digits because i'm so aggressive...

I also need to mention that I own Tom Glavine on the game...

You should have Mike Redmond on your team then. :D

Quick Catch Up:
Braves Lose 3-2 in game 2 to Phillies, and follow it up with 2 blowouts of Phillies/Mets
Tigers win game 2 easily, and then take the final of the 3 game set vs the Jays 5-1...The Game was closer than the final score the big blow in the game was a 3 run HR by Fielder...

Game 4
Detriot at Kansas City
Wainwright and Boomer matched up in a very good pitching duel early on...Wainwright was in control from the start going 9 innings striking out 13, walking 0, and giving up only 4 Hits. The only run allowed was a solo HR in the bottom of the 9th...Wells got the Royals into the 7th inning allowing only 2 runs before the bullpen allowed 2 more in the 9th to end any real hopes of a KC comeback...
Next Games
Mets @ Braves D-Train toes the Rubber
Tigers @ Royals Haren gets the ball

Game 5 Mets @ Braves
Willis vs Sarfate
Willis and Sharp matched each other 0 for 0 through 5 1/3 before Bonds broke a scoreless tie with a solo hr that just cleared the right center field wall out of the reach of the Center Fielders glove....The scored stayed the same till the bottom of the 7th when the Braves scored only a single run despite loading the basis with 1 out...The score was 2-0 going into the home half of the 8th when a 2 run triple by Cabrera made it 4-0...a Sac Fly by Either would end the Braves scoring for the evening making it 5-0 going to the top of the 9th... With the Score 5-0 and his pitch count being under 100 I decided to let Dontrelle go for he Complete Game, but had Gonzalez warming up just to be safe...The would prove to be a wise move, as Dontrelle allowed the 1st 2 runners to reach I left him to face the LH David Ortiz who he would retire, but an error on pujols on a grounder by Pujols(I tried to step on 1st and throw home for the DP, but missed the bag and overthrew the Catcher) made it 5-2 with Runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out...I made the call to the pen and Gonzalez retired his first batter before allowing a 2 run triple and the Braves went on to win it by the final score of 5-4....

Game 6 Braves @ Mets
I decided to give Bonds,Laird,Upton,Weeks the day off with the sunday day game and Smoltz on he mound...
Either put me up 1-0, before a solo hr to Papi tied it up....Smoltz 8 innings and his opposition went 7 solid innings of 1 run ball himself...Weathers was brought in because I simmed 1 ab of the 8th inning in my half at the plate and the computer decided to take out Smoltz...I allowed a HR to Jose Lopez(I think that's who it was), and the computer allowed Papi's 2nd.... I lead off the home half with a PH hr from Rickie Weeks, that's all I could do as Bonds was left at 1st to end the game...3-2 Mets Victory
After 6 Games 4-2
