The Braves big free agent pickup last year was Edgar Renteria. Who will it be this year?

Bob Wickman! i know he's not as big as Edgar (name-wise at least :D ) and i know he's already on the team, so his free agent status isn't exactly the same as an outside player, but we need that closer role as it's proven to be our demise the last two seasons.

Any postition players? If we can free up some $ we should get Alfonso Soriano. Very unlikely, though. Is Dontrelle Wills an fa?

I don't think we need any free agent offensive guys. A trade for something might be in the works, but our offense is pretty solid.
We need to sign Wickman and maybe acquire another middle relief man somehow, whether that be trade or FA.

we need offense, Our offense right now is way too inconsistant and weak

But a FA signing wouldn't help. It's a weak FA class in terms of offense, that we could afford. We need someone that can leadoff and play LF. A Giles trade isn't the answer, moving him out of leadoff all year is the answer. We need a guy who can jumpstart this offense ... and I don't think Dave Roberts (the only guy out there we can afford) is it because if he goes down we're right back where we are. We need someone still in their prime years.

My top candidates are ... Giles, Langerhans, Villarreal, Hudson -- if we sign Glavine.
Andruw is a long shot, but I could realistically see that happening too.

Is there any way we can sign the luck we had today to a 5 year contract? You realize we'd never lose....

Reports are the Yankees and Red Sox have already started a bidding war.

It originated here so maybe it'll take a hometown discount?
Haha ... then again, money talks.

i dont think the braves will trade hudson. I agree Giles, Langerhans, and Villareal are posibilities. also i dont think Glavine will come back, but i could be wrong.
