Has anyone here bought the game for the regular XBox console? I don't plan on buying 360 until earliest next year, probably not even.

However, I know that this will be the last time Madden releases for the current gen consoles...

I'm just looking to see if anyone thinks the game's good or bad for the REGULAR XBox version.

even though i don't keep up with the NFL as much as i used to, i still consider myself a fan of the 49ers.

it was hard not to be when growing up in the late 80's and early 90's and the 9ers were THE team...until those damn Cowboys had their little run.

I got Madden '08 this morning for my 360! They added some things. Like the icons that college football has, that shows you who is weak on their defense. Also like on Keith Brooking, it shows that he's a brick and hard to get through. I don't know about Ray Lewis, maybe it just says, "Keep away from this guy!" We had to send our 360 out to get fixed because it had the "3 flashing red lights" crap. My husband was pretty mad about that also. Luckily we got it back in just a couple weeks.

i got my hands on Madden 08 for PC today...haven't had a chance to play it yet.

i'll post my thoughts once i get some games in.

I just rented Madden '08 for our Nintendo Wii. I thought we'd try it on there also. I heard the football games on Wii were pretty cool. I hope they don't make you work as hard as the baseball game BIGS does, lol. :p

I bought it for the regular xbox it's the same game with rookies and that's it. I guess that's the downfall with still owning just the xbox

LOL, I love how the ambulance just runs over the other players to get to the injured player.

I received the game with my ps3 yesterday.
I played a game today, and I'm totally lost with the controls, I just keep on selecting the play the coach highlights, I try to make passes in offense and to destroy everybody when defending, but other than that, the commands are obscure to me. I'm gonna try the tutorials later, but if anyone has any tips, go ahead :)
Anyway, I played a game in the easiest mode, with the Seahawks, 5 minute quarters, I won something like 45-0 :D Couldn't help but laugh when a guy from the other team got injured straining his pectoral muscle (hello Mike) :lol:
