I have added a forum specifically for the articles from AtlantaBraves.com. Every article posted on AtlantaBraves.com will have a thread designated just for it. Do you not check AtlantaBraves.com as often as you should? No worries. We scan their site every 10 minutes and will post a thread for each new article. It would probably be best if you feel the need to discuss a particular article to post it in the main forum, as usual.

Note: At the time the first sweep was done, it just gathered up the new articles, so they aren't necessarily in chronological order. That will only be the case for the first 21 articles that were put into the database during the first sweep. From now on, the threads designated for each article will appear with the newest article being represented at the top of the forum.

If you have another RSS source that you think would be beneficial to be treated in the same manner as AtlantaBraves.com, just post it here and we'll consider adding it.

If there's a way to single out the "local" news from the Braves' ESPN team page, that would be cool. You have to be an INsider to follow the actual links, but considering it gives you the paper or site that the story comes from, it would only take a few seconds to go to the page yourself.

Checked into that, and I couldn't find an RSS feed for it. They only have RSS feeds for their headlines or columnists.

Is there any way to single out Braves transactions or rumors via Rotoworld?

LOL! Nope. They only have their sports grouped into one RSS feed. Keep shooting, maybe we'll find something somewhere.

I'll be happy with whatever .. long as there isnt much sabermetric junk included .. I'm a Baseball Purist :-D

Anyway If I think of anything, I'll definitely make the suggestion.

I added AJC.com's headlines along with DOB's blog. I think I'm done for now unless I happen to stumble across something I can't pass up. But still, if you have anything else let it be known.

A just plain old mlb feed would be good too.

I'll add MLB.com's Headline feed sometime later today.

Added the MLB.com Feed. I think that's about it for now. We have MLB's headlines, the Braves headlines, the headlines from the major Atlanta newspaper along with the best Atlanta Braves blog out there.

At this time, probably none of the threads are in chronological order, but they will be from here on out. I guess that's the problem with making such a large sweep.

From now on it will check every feed every 10 minutes and create a thread for each new article/blog listed. Not sure if this will be used too much, but I figured if I have the feature at my fingertips, I might as well use it.

I'm ending the MLB.com feed. It's creating a lot of duplicate threads that can make it hard to go through all the new posts, I might later replace it with the MLB feed from ESPN.com. I will keep the AtlantaBraves.com and AJC.com feeds. I think I went a little overboard with the RSS feeds to start with and want to keep it on just Braves news for now. I also feel that because of the amount of new threads that were created by the MLB.com feed, a lot of the Braves news went unnoticed. So hopefully with just the AJC and Braves feeds coming in, it will be more productive and more useful to us.

I know I pm'd you about this, but I think a headline sports thread would be great. Also, I noticed that when there are new posts in a thread, the folder and the thread doesn't show it.

Must have just been a minor lapse in your cache or something. It was showing for me and I didn't change anything. Thanks for bringing it to my attention though.

I added the ESPN.com feed. I think it gets all the "Local" news that ESPN.com has. Jsh had previously mentioned that as something to look into.
