Let me know what you think. I need some kind of text to add to it. Any ideas?

Looks pretty good for a first try. Did you do the cut yourself? I can't really see the edge, but if you made that cut of him that's real good for a first one.

Looks pretty good for a first one. I think it needs something to the left though, maybe some text or something, to fill some of that empty space. (of course, there's others that could help a little more, cause I'm not the greatest sig maker in the world). :D

Yeah I cut it myself from a picture I found on google. What should I add to it to make it even better?

I don't like the font at all. The background needs some work. You don't want the background to take over what the focus of the picture is. Right now it's too loud, but like I said in the first reply, it's something that has to come to you and you'll learn more with the more times you do stuff.

Since your using GIMP, try starting off w/ a white background, then use some effects (I would use the effects that are in Filters-render), then colorify (Filters-Colors-Colorify) that to the color that you want your background to be...
Anyways, you have a lot going for you, since this is your first sig...Like McCarroll said, your bg could use some work. I would also make the size (of the sig) way smaller, at least to 450 x 150 (the size of McCarrolls current sig).
