Selig, The Borefest, and Pacman
By: Brandon Van Hoesen

I’ll start off with baseball as it’s the only sport with any buzz to it right now for most people. On Tuesday, we saw the 2nd no hitter of the season from Justin Verlander against the Brew Crew, I wonder if Selig got a chance to watch it or if he was busy trying to find a way to make the ASG more important or contracting the Twins. Yeah, yeah I know go easy on Bud, he's a good guy, there's no way he could have known why players went from looking like Joe Schmo off the street to Mariusz Pudzianowski. The no-hitter was the 1st Tiger's no-no since Jack M**ris, who is still a prick in my mind for his role in game 7. That reference brings me to the Braves who have been up and down this week, first getting sweep by the Twins, then taking 2 in a row in Cleveland, before losing the finale today. Let's hope more Chipper/Salty can help our lineup. Now to some wonderful news, the Muts have been atrocious lately losing 4 of 5 this week and 11 of 14 in June. I wonder if Scott Kazmir would help?

I feel obligated to talk about the NBA Finals as it is one of the big three sports, so I'll make it short and try not to bore you as much as the games did. That's if you were one of the few unfortunate enough to waste your time with them like myself. First let me say, I love the NBA and thoroughly enjoyed the playoffs from the Spurs-Suns, to the Golden State ride, to Lebron's coming out party in game 5. Now to the Finals, which were the lowest rated CBS Finals ever, they were like watching the 10th hour of the "LOTR Trilogy" when only given 10 hours to do so. After watching the pitcher's duel of a Game 3, I had to wonder do they even still have a shot clock? Was the four corner offense making a comeback? The offenses were about as hapless as a defense with Frederic Weis protecting the rim.

In other random news, "Pacman" Jones dropped his appeal of his full year suspension after learning he won’t have to pass a drug test for a year. Something tells me this won't be the last we hear of him this year though. I can definitely see a trade to the Bengals in his future. In Nascar, Little E signs with Hendricks Motorsports teaming up with Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon effectively making him the 3rd best driver on the team and causing his dad to roll in his grave.

Strong debut vnod. I don't think Pacman will be out of the news long either. I think I heard that they are gathering evidence to convict him of a few charges in his Vegas tirade.

No Vick? Maybe he'll make it next week. :)
