<font size="3"><strong>Soriano Does It Again, Braves Fall</strong></font>

Friday night was a nightmare for the Braves and their fans. The Braves pitchers allowed nine runs on fifteen hits. The defense committed three errors and the offense collected only six hits and scored just one run.
On top of that, Alfonso Soriano continued his mastery of Braves pitching. Soriano finished the night with his second career three homer game, both of which came against the Braves. Soriano hit homers in the first, second and fourth innings. He also singled and drew a walk.
As if Soriano wasn't enough of a problem, Felix Pie did just as much damage hitting behind him. Pie was 2-for-4 with three RBI, giving the Cubs six RBI from the top two spots in the order.
Every Cubs starter collected a hit and the lineup received seven walks from Braves pitchers.
Lance Cormier was making his second start of the season after coming off the disabled list, both of which were against the Cubs and both with equally bad results. In two starts against the Cubs, Cormier has given up 14 hits and 13 runs in 7 2/3 innings.
Though the poor start, Cormier received a bill of confidence from manager Bobby Cox and is expected to receive another start.
"Cormier walked too many and made too many bad pitches," Cox said. "The stuff's there, he's just rusty."
The Braves lone run came in the third inning. Kelly Johnson hit a triple down the right-field line and scored on Yunel Escobar's infield hit.
The Braves will try to get their offense back on track, having scored just 15 runs in their last seven games, Saturday night when they face former Brave Jason Marquis. Tim Hudson is scheduled to take the mound for the Braves.
