At the very least, the end of the division-title run got the Braves the No. 14 pick in this year's draft — their highest since 1991. "I'd rather be picking 30th every year," Braves director of scouting Roy Clark said. "That means we had the best record in baseball." With the 14th pick, the 33rd pick of the supplemental round, two picks in the second round (69th and 78th) and a deep stock of players available, the Braves have cause for optimism.
