Chipper headed to DL, Smoltz could miss start (http://www.ajc.com/services/content/sports/braves/stories/2007/06/01/0601chipper.html?cxtype=rss&cxsvc=7&cxcat=21)
It's back to the DL for Chipper Jones. The frustrated Braves third baseman is going on the disabled list for the fifth time in three seasons, this time because of lingering soreness in his hands and wrists. Top shortstop/third-base prospect Yunel Escobar will have his contract purchased from Class AAA Richmond and should be in Chicago for Saturday's game. Also, pitcher John Smoltz's shoulder was still slightly sore when he threw Friday morning, and his scheduled Sunday start could be moved back to Tuesday's doubleheader against Florida. If Smoltz doesn't pitch Sunday, journeyman Buddy Carlyle would start the series finale against the Cubs.
