This is a huge blow to the Georgia defense. Some people say he only did such a great job against Calvin Johnson because Reggie Ball was the QB, but if that were the case, then wouldn't all the other corners that covered Calvin had been made to look that good? Yeah, Reggie sucked worse than words can describe, but Calvin made play after play after play against every team he faced in his college career, except one. Paul Oliver completely shut down the most dominant college receiver in ages (and a potential dominant NFL WR now) for 2 straight years. That's impressive. I wouldn't mind one bit to see the Falcons take a shot at him as an immediate 3rd or 4th corner...that would be pretty sweet.

And our defense takes yet another yet. Damnit. We're just so damn young at every damn position right now.
Hopefully Asher Allen can live up to the hype and be our shutdown corner, but after the spring game, who knows if he'll even start.
Right now, the only real thingd we have going for us are Miller and Johnson, and neither of those are game changers.
Maybe our offense isn't as good as we're all hoping, and it's just our defense is much worse.
At least the good thing is the Gators are going to be rebuilding -- if you can even call it that, with the sick, young talent they have -- and will hopefully have a few growing pains in that process. They are where we were on offense last season, only about ten times more talented. Their secondary is going to be hurting though, so as long as we're able to pick them apart, we'll have a chance in Jacksonville.

Kind of off-topic, but I want to ask some Georgia guys this question since you're talking about hits to the defense.
Why on Earth did the Georgia guys let Sam Olajubutu get away and come to Arkansas? You'd think the LeGrange native would have had Bulldog written all over him.

Lagrange kids never ever ever go to Georgia. The coach there i guess doesnt really care for Georgia football or thats one of the many internet rumors but for some reason or another and year after year, the Lagrange kids leave the state. Similar to how Georgia gets alot of the big time talent from Independence North Carolina. Some schools are pipelines to certain colleges and Lagrange has a pipeline elsewhere. :(
