Well in one hour (CST) it will be election day. I just wanted to exercise my right and ask all of you to vote today.
America has been losing ground on an uphill battle for nearly six years. Its time for some change.
Stay true to the blue. Thank you and drive through!

If that happens, I'll move to Mexico. I dont know Spanish ... but at least there wont be a Patriot act XXIV there.
Then again it might be renamed America South by that time. :)

Omg ... I just got back from the convinence store. This is what I got from a conversation I just had with someone .. and it shows the ignorance of many american voters today.
This attendant makes 5.50 an hour part-time. The Democratic candidate is going to push for a one dollar raise in Alabama's min wage if elected. She makes the min wage. The Republican candidate has hiked taxes on small paydays three times and he's an obvious crook via his campagin money trail....
This nice lady could make around $1,000 more per year than she currently does. But instead of basically voting for her own salary to be raised, she supports the Republican .. because he called Mrs Baxley a 'liberal'

Lieberman is one of those moronic greedy bastards who corrupt politics... I don't agree with everything Lamont said and stood for, but he was a fresh face who would have been great for the senate... Leiberman should have bowed out when he lost the primary... (sorry if thats slight rantish/ot)
Adam's Army
11-08-2006, 06:57 PM
Lieberman won because he is a good candidate. the people who win primaries are usually the people who best appeal to their base (remember how GWB won the republican primary in 2000 when McCain was probably more appealing nationally?). I think its great that Lieberman is still in the senate.

And McCain didn't get all pissy and start running for President as an independent...

lieberman did not get pissy and did not run for president. its not like thats never happened though, Teddy Roosevelt did just that in i think 1912. if people diddnt like leiberman, then he would have lost.

I hope you guys feel safe with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid in charge. Im not to worried now the Dems will actually have to do something and in 2 years the GOP will be back in control, thats if America is still around in 2 years.
I am sure Al Qaeda, North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, and Iran are happy right now.
Atleast the GOP shows class when they lose unlike the DNC who claims voter fraud and racism when ever they lose.
This won't change Bush's resolve he will be as head strong as ever if not more.
GOP in 2008 Biatch.

I'm not too concerned with what ANY republican thinks right now. They've been (pardon my language) fucking up America for six years. The dictators in the Whitehouse (thank god the ring leader is gone .. but probably not out of power) do not care what the majority of your America thinks. That's a problem anyone with a mind (excluding Republican voters .. because they refuse to do anything but blindly follow the lemming at the front of the line.)
Bottom line is this .... Bush's "resolve" is now OBVIOUSLY an AGENDA. He's basically said "I dont care what the majority of America wants. I'll do what I want to do because I can" .....
That sounds like the rant of an ADD child whose parents (dominant power in congress) just told him to get his ass in bed.

And Lavelli ... since your guys lost .. go ahead and admit it!
If Bill Clinton had led us into Iraq in 1998 when they probably DID have WMD, you'd be screaming for his head because Bill would've been getting our soldiers killed in a civil war they should not be involved in. RIGHT?
Edit - Look on the bright side ... maybe these dumb democrats will try to deal with more important issues .... like our borders that are az pourus as a busted lambskin condom ... or the real terrorists in America such as:
The Bloods
Crips
KKK
Mexican Mafia
and those puppetmasters in the rafters above the Oval Office
Another Edit - Also raising the national min wage will help those struggling Americans whom are living in poverty. Hell, maybe they'll be able to eat enough to pass a US military physical exam by the time the Reps "take back over."

The reason Iraq is a mess right now is that the Bush team is one of the finest ever at invading a country and winning. However, they don't make the top 10 in management after that. (see my list at chopnation if you like because it won't copy here) I don't think Republicans would be screaming at Clinton as long as he didn't turn Iraq into a bloodbath Serbia style and actually presented WMD evidence unlike Bush who can't even read his own intelligence reports. Yeah, the borders are a sieve but now Bush might be able to open them even more and offer amnesty since there isn't a Republican House to stop him. Why must both political parties be so terrible at once?!?!?!

These "dems" that won all over America are not even Democrats they a Republicans in sheeps clothing. Jim Webb is basically a Republican and Heath Shuler is as conservative as you can get. America has not gone liberal they were just against the current republican party. Lots of traditional republicans were against the gop, the dems werent voted in the gop was voted out.

Look at the ballot initiatives like gay marriage bans, no affirmative action, yes to the death penalty, english as the official language, no oil tax, etc. The conservative movement is not dead just the deadbeats who have been hijacking it for the last 6 years. Losers like Chafee I have no hard time seeing gone.

I understand these new seatholders arent exactly left wing liberals. I dont consider myself one either. I simply have beliefs that would make a traditional psycho neo con pull their hair out. But truthfully I'm a middle of the road Democrat with strong opinions on 9/11 and the war.
Basically, these new ladies and gentelmen (for the most part) stand for what I believe in .. and are against this war. Thats all I was hoping for. Who cares if they're left wingers? They want what is best for the country... and its obviously not staying the course.
Liberal has turned into such a dirty word......
I liked what the head Republican strategist called them last night when they realized the Reps lost the house ....
He called them "Progressives"

You know, with Iraq and Afghanistan costing hundreds of billions the last thing the US needs is to play welfare mom because all the oil rigs are gone. This is a case where the media is completely anti-Bush and it doesn't know why other than it hates Bush. Until these countries get some industry going they are going to be completely dependent on oil and farming and I don't think we want to be paying for crash course industry do we?
lavell12
11-09-2006, 12:46 AM
The media hates Bush and never gives his view a fair shot, the reason people think FOX is so right wing is because you compare it to CBS, CNN, most of MSNBC (besides Tucker and Joe S), and the most popular newspapers.
Jsh1284
11-09-2006, 04:18 AM
WOW.... I can't see any major news media (television) outlet being anywhere NEAR the left side. Everyone is taking jabs at the democrats and they have been since Bush went into office.
*IMPORTANT* The war is costing guys like US millions of dollars .. not the republican politicians though! It all goes back to those reported earnings of the major oil producers here at the last quarter of 2005.... Oil prices at an all time high ... so are EXXON/MOBIL, TEXACO, CHEVRON, and seveal other major oil producers' PROFITS. Why? Shouldnt inflation affect their pockets too? One would imagine that'd be an illegal act... because it really looks like the prices were just jacked up to make extra money .. not because of any shortage or because of the war.
I think everyone reciving any of this newfound treasure for political reasons should go on trial just like Saddam Hussein.
Bottom line: Every drop of oil in this world is worth millions of times more than every bar of gold in every country on the planet. Anyone who could profit off of such a thing shouldnt' be allowed near the White House.
(example of last point) : Mark Foley being appointed to CEO of Disney World.
*IMPORTANT* - Read above where this is relevant - You Bush groupies have a way of dodging issues. Bush's people say the prices are high because oil companies in the middle east have to pay for tighter security and hazard benefits for workers. Well, I dare you in your next post to explain how the Oil Producers made record earnings instead of just balancing out with the pump inflation.

Big oil profits? It's called capitalism and success. I don't have a problem with oil companies making money but I do have a problem with the government taxing them to death and then taxing the oil to death as it enters my gas tank.
Jsh1284
11-10-2006, 01:17 AM
Seems to me as if the government is allowing the oil companies to tax the oil themselves on top of the enormous govt taxes that continue to rise. Which means free and clear money. Who knows where it ends up?
Is there any way to find out where Bush put his oil stocks when he went into power? I'm just curious, becuase I imagine if he sold them to a trusted source, the guy would be a multi-billionaire in 2009.

Last words:
I'll bet they wouldnt be showing much class if a big group of rich white republicans got turned away from the polls because of fraudulant nonexistant criminal records .... like in 00' and 04'.
You know, there was a very prominent school teacher in Florida back in 2000 whom tried to vote. He had never been convicted of a crime in his life. Well, he was turned away because he apparently murdered someone in July 2007. There's no doubt in my mind that this (and a couple thousand more identical cases) happened because A they were african-american and B because african americans usually vote Democrat.... because they represent the common citizen ... (no, believe it or not, the common person in America didnt vote Bush in 04 because they particularly like him.. its because he bought them off with tax cuts that our children will pay for.
Finished.
