So anyway, chew on this for a second. When reading, think about last year.
Mike Gonzalez hasn't allowed an earned run since April 7 vs. the Mets. He has pitched 10.2 innings of shut out baseball since allowing a single by Shawn Green to drive home Carlos Delgado on that day.
Since his first appearance on April 15, Peter Moylan has given up one earned run over 12 innings.
Rafael Soriano has pitched 8.1 scoreless innings since giving up 3 earned runs to the Mets in the Braves 7-3 wins over the Mets on April 20.
Every run that Rafael Soriano has allowed this season has come with the scoring margin at 4 or more runs. Bottom line, when the game is tight, he's as good as it gets.
Chad Paronto has allowed only two earned runs over 8 innings this year.
Before last night's implosion (5/5), Tyler Yates had allowed only 1 earned run over his previous 7 innings, dating back to April 18 when he recorded 2 outs against the Cubs.Nothing that REALLY means much in the big scheme of things, but I'm just wanting to illustrate that this is nowhere near the same bullpen we had last year.

Remember last year right now? Ken Ray was our savior and we had to ride him like a mule, which lead to him eventually breaking down.

Well, thus far the bullpen is as good as advertised. God willing Wickman comes back strong, the Braves will be a force all season long. It's tough to beat a team when they make it a 6 or 7 inning game.

yo know the funny part about the season the games aren't being shortened by the pen in the sixth or seventh b/c we are being forced to come from behind a lot but yet the pen is getting the job done. So its like we get 27 outs while they get 15.
