he is really #1 but it is ESPN,so of course they are not gonna tell you how good he is

It isn't ESPN "telling" anyone that Shawn Green has been better thus far, it's the goddamn season stats! When Player A has an OPS of .958 and Player B has an OPS of .911, it's kinda obvious which is having the better offensive year.

actually ESPN currently has an article up about how Francoeur is the #1 young right fielder in the league

I'm too lazy to read the article so I'm not sure if it's JUST talking about who is the best offensive RF, or if it claims to show who is the best all around RF. If it's the latter, then this is a good example of how stats can sometimes be misleading. I mean...Green may have a higher OPS, but that doesn't take into account that he has basically given away two games to a hated division rival with piss-poor defense.

who cares if its espn, the point is that Francoeur is tearing it up and finally showing some plate discipline, just like i predicted he would. he already had 25 RBIs and may be the most clutch guy on the team. Jeff is #1 RF in the NL in my mind.
