Braves Lose Behind Another Redman Outing
By: Josh McCarroll (http://www.braves-nation.com/forums/member.php?u=1) | Braves-Nation.com

Just like his last start in Florida, Redman was unable to pitch with a lead and it lead to the Braves losing. After being staked to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, Redman gave up four runs in the next half inning. The Braves would never have the lead again.

Chipper Jones hit his first of two homers in the bottom of the first inning to give the Braves a 2-0 lead. Kelly Johnson scored in front of him after leading off the inning with a double. The Braves added another run when Andruw Jones scored on a double from Brian McCann.

Redman started the second inning by giving up a double to Wes Helms and a single to Jayson Werth. After hitting Brian McCann's glove with his swing, Rod Barajas was awarded first base to load the bases. With Jimmy Rollins batting, Wes Helms scored on a passed ball. After the passed ball, McCann was forced to exit the game due to the injury suffered when Barajas hit him. Rollins then grounded out to allow Werth to score. Aaron Rowand followed with a two out single to score Barajas to tie the game. Then Chase Utley singled, Ryan Howard walked, and Pat Burrell walked to drive in another run.

It was at this point that Oscar Villarreal enered the game to get the Braves out of the inning. Villarreal walked the first two men he faced in the third inning, the first of which came around to score to make the score 5-3 in favor of the Phillies.

Peter Moylan gave up a home run to Rod Barajas in the seventh inning to give the Phillies a 6-3 lead.

The Braves got a run back when Chipper Jones hit his second homer of the night, but couldn't get any closer.

Chipper's two homers moved him past Rollins for the National League lead in home runs with 10.

The two teams will play the rubber game of the series on Wednesday at 7:35. Chuck James will pitch against Freddy Garcia. The game can be seen on FSN South or ESPN.

I didn't even check to see if it was the one from the other night. I'm not sure if it was.

EDIT: I just checked. It was.
