Saltalamacchia gets the call, Pena to DL

I've heard that Salty has been called up for tonights game. Someone was telling me that they heard it on 680 in Atlanta...


Haven't heard anything else yet. It makes sense considering Pena might be going on the DL after taking that lick last night. Redman might be gone to make room for him on the 40 Man..

If this turns out to be true(which it's very possible considering this is one thing that Shanks is good for) then I like I told some other people lets hope he does whatever it takes to make Bobby and JS keep him up and throw him into the fire at 1B and just toss Thorman out to LF to platoon with Diaz...If you can put a 38 year old career 3B(Ken Caminiti, RIP) at 1B who's never played there in his nearly 15 yrs before coming to ATL then I don't see what would be such a fuss about doing the same with Salty if he's hitting to good to go down...I almost guarantee you that Salty would probably be better defensively than Ken was for us that yr...

Shanks is the one who "broke" it, supposedly, but he did the same thing, with rumors on chop-nation and espn that shanks was reporting that he had been traded started the whole mess last year.
