Yall would know better than me...I'm just curious what the consensus is :D

I was saying all offseason we should have packaged him with Lerew and Giles to get Peavy...Man that would have been nice...

Let this thread die. No one knows. Not even JS knows. JS will not trade Salty for a rental, so I would guess that he will probably be here the rest of the season and traded in the off-season if he is traded at all.

If we trade him this year, we'll be getting someone that is yet to be arbitration eligible or we have worked out an extension with whoever before the trade is completed.

I'm gonna say, the chance of Salty staying a Braves is mostly dependent on how others play on the roster right now. If the back of our rotation continues to struggle, he could be traded/packaged for some pitching. If our pitching can get it back together, salty should stay with the orgainization. However, I believe it is very likely that he will be traded during the offseason.
So... % that he is still brave by deadline 65%, still a brave at start of 08 30%

The only guy who's a free agent this offseason who I MIGHT trade for is Johan.

Well, still, he's the only one. :D
Now, if we could sign Zambrano to an extension and trade him straight up for Salty...
