Middle Game Is A Wash

As rains poured down on the city of Atlanta, it finally became too much. The middle game of the Braves-Marlins series was supposed to get under way at 7:05 on Saturday night, but mother nature had different plans.
After waiting through a two and one-half hour rain delay, the Braves personnel decided to postpone the game to a later date.
A decision has not yet been made on when the game will be made up, but it will most likely take place during the summer when the Marlins re-visit Turner Field.
The Braves will try to salvage a split in what is now a two game series with the Marlins on Sunday afternoon. The two teams will take the field at 1:05 to conclude the series.
Scheduled Atlanta starter Kyle Davies will be pushed back to Wednesday as a result of the rain. He will face Carlos Zambrano in the series opener versus the Chicago Cubs. Tim Hudson will start Sunday's game to stay on normal rest.
Scott Olsen, scheduled to start Saturday's game, will make the start for the Marlins on Sunday.
In other Braves related news from Saturday, the Braves placed reliever Chad Paronto on the 15-day disabled list due to a strained abductor muscle in the groin. A move was also made to send left hander Macay McBride to Richmond to allow him to work through a dead arm phase. The team recalled Peter Moylan and Steve Colyer from Triple-A Richmond to fill out the roster.
