Atlanta outlet to show one series a year through 2013 (http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/sports/braves/stories/2006/10/17/1018turner.html)
Turner and Major League Baseball announced a seven-year deal under which one of the two league championship series will be televised on TBS each year from 2007 through 2013.
The deal marks the first time MLB has put an LCS on cable, rather than broadcast, television.
TBS will carry the National League Championship Series in 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013 and the American League Championship Series in 2008, 2010 and 2012.
Fox will carry the other LCS each year. Awesome. Add this to them having the LDS starting next year and things are looking up. The bad thing is that we're nearing a time that the Braves have to make the playoffs to even be played on their home station, but it's better than not being on TBS at all. I'm interested to see who does the commentary for those games, the less I have to listen to Buck, McCarver, Morgan, Miller, et al is fine with me. I know Chip will be one of the mainstays, but who works with him? Give me two of Skip, Joe and/or Pete and I'll be a happy man. I think I could even take Torborg paired with Chip and one of those others. He's not that bad ... he just needs a better broadcast partner.
