Selig not worried about Braves sale's delay (http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/sports/braves/stories/2006/10/17/1018bravessale.html)

"These deals often take a long time," Selig said. "This one appears to be making steady progress. And it really isn't causing any problem. The Braves are being very well run by [team president] Terry McGuirk, [general manager] John Schuerholz and [manager] Bobby Cox.

"The fact that Time Warner does want to sell the club and we seem to be moving toward a resolution — of all the things I have to worry about today, that isn't one of them."

Time Warner broke off negotiations with other bidders in late April and since then has been working through the complexities of a tax-driven deal to sell the team to Colorado-based Liberty.
Ugh! Selig just make them hurry it up or force them to sell to an owner actually interested in the team ... paging Arthur Blank.

Selig is a douche and he isnt looking out for the best intrests of our team. Thanks to Bush's new tax free loophole, many old rich, rich, non baseball fans are going to become even more rich possibly at our expense. I hope to god I'm wrong and that our payroll remains at least around 80 million though.

We need an old-school stand up baseball man in the Commish's office. Not that weasel.
