Yesterday we hit a milestone.

What was it? Well, we went over 100,000 hits for the first time in the history of the site.

Want more? You got it. We also cleared the 150,000 hit mark yesterday, too.

We finished the day with 157,415 hits for the day. Before this, our high was in the upper 90,000 range, something like 97,000 hits on the day of the Gonzalez trade.

I would like to thank everyone who visited the site and contributed this. Thank you to everyone who accessed the site on April 2, 2007, registered or not registered, you made an impact on the history of our site and hopefully the first of many milestones we will break in our inaugural season.

Next milestone? We finished the month of March with 1,967,693 hits. We are looking to pass 2,000,000 hits in April, and looking to break it in a big way.

Thanks guys.

Just thought I'd keep adding to this.

On April 4th, the previous record fell -- only lasting 2 days. We had 182,329 hits on April 4th.

Keep this going and we should have no problem reaching 2 million hits for the month of April.

See, if I'd been on more, or if Badman was back from vacation/name changing time, we'd be close to 5 million.

Yesterday fell about 150 hits short of our hit record from the other night.

Hmm... so I guess that means we cleared 2 million?

We had a goal, we doubled it and then some. Now we have to go for 4.5 million in May.

HA! I was thinking the same but didn't want to jinx it. If he would have gone deep in his first AB, we would have had two pages of WOW! or something.

So umm... new hits record has been recorded. :D

I'm going to keep you in the dark until the month turns over so I can have the exact number, but our previous record was broken at some point today.

David_Strate
06-28-2007, 03:34 PM
and "we" still have two whole days left...

McCarroll21
07-05-2007, 12:55 PM
I guess I need to update you on June's hit total:
4,534,366This beats our previous record for hits in a month by about 209,523 hits.

Also, I think the West Coast games have cost us two record days, or near record, already in month of July. The games wrapping over past midnight has made our hit pattern a little out of whack so far this month.

David_Strate
07-05-2007, 12:58 PM
and we're evidently the #4 baseball site according to the front page :)

Well, at least one positive came out of the dismal game today. We have a new hits in a day.

270,449!

That beats our previous record by about 32K.

At least Kyle is good for something...

would this explain why late yesterday afternoon until the evening the site seemed to be hiccuping alot?

No. Our host had one of their servers go down and tried to move everything around until it got fixed.

It was hard to post anything because sometimes it would go as fast as normal and sometimes it would crawl. It shouldn't be a problem anymore as they have it back up and running.

McCarroll21
07-26-2007, 01:58 AM
A few milestones to mention.

Our previous hit record in a day of 270,449 has been broken three times in the last four days.

It was first broken on July 22 with a hit total of 293,184. That record was then broken on July 24 with a total of 332,465 hits ... and THAT total fell today, July 25, with a total of 424,313 hits.

We have also set a new monthly hit record, along with surpassing the five million hits mark in a month. I'll save that one for the end of the month to tell you what it is.

Thanks guys!

The game yesterday rolling over into today likely helped a lot, but it's still crazy. Hopefully it doesn't slow down after the trade deadline is over.
