Removed Shoutbox

I took it off because it kills our server load, sometimes hanging on page loads and things like that. I may look at adding it back sometime but have it on a seperate page instead of at the top of every page, if that makes sense. But I'll have to find a way to get permission to edit the code if something doesn't already exist for it and all that nice stuff so it may be a while.

Just thought I'd make a thread for it explaining why instead of having threads popping up asking where it went.

That's fine with me because I always closed it because it kept messing me up when I tried to scroll. I would accidentally scroll the shoutbox instead of the web page.

I feel your annoyance. That happened to me a few times. It was a good way to keep everyone posted on things but it kills our server. It may be the worst hack for server load for vBulletin.

We still have the chatroom for those that just like meaningless banter.

Nope. Just wanted to point out that it's still there. Hopefully the Shoutbox will make a return in a less stressing role to the server. Braves-Nation.com sent me a PM today saying the Shoutbox was killing him.

It also messes up peoples pages on certain internet browsers, so all in all, it's not very user/site friendly.
