Point being?

Is it worth $13M?

He also has 27 errors and a .965 FPCT

Retneria:
AVG .291 | HR 13 | RBI 65 | OBP .361 | SLG .429

FPCT .979 | E 12

Half the price.

You've already been warned more times than you deserve. Jsh has given his last warning, and this is my last warning. Have fun.

Easy McCarroll...this had nothing to do with Renteria, obviously Renteria is a better player and who wouldnt take him over Furcal?! All I did was look at Furcal's stats and he is doing well. I didnt think he'd do well outside of Atlanta

Then put that in your original post. Leaving it like that leaves it open to be taken however we take it, and any post from you I take as some sort of negative comment against those who are Braves ... most notably, Marcus Giles.

True, but if you know me then you know I'm a big fan of Renteria :D

I am sick of you. Why the crap do we care how Furcal s doing? Go over to a dodgers board if you want to talk about Furcal. This is a braves board.

Why?

Umm, cause he played here and he was one of my favorite players... I think that original post was pretty harmless, and everyone started attacking hawki because of everything else he's done, but justifying it on the grounds that updates on the careers of former braves are not welcome...

As do I. I care about how he's doing, but I still wouldn't want him on this team at 13M. One of those do well, but I won't miss you kind of things...

Renteria is better than Furcal but Furcal is better than Giles and that is what truly matters becuase we missed a leadoff hitter. I would rather have.

1. Furcal
2. Giles

than

1. Giles
2. Renteria

haha, i remember game 4 of the NLDS in 2004 where the announcer brought up the point that furcal could avoid jail for another couple days if he help his team win, then he hit the game winning HR

Hahahahaha. That cracks me up. That just doesn't sound right. "Now, if Furcal hits this homerun, he can avoid jail, and help this team win the world series. BY the way joe, just HOW buzzed was he?"

I never liked Furcal. He was WAY too streaky for a leadoff hitter IMO.

exactly right, this was my major problem with Furcal. and then we decided to put Marcus as the leadoff hitter...so pretty much didn't have a reliable leadoff hitter...again.

The problem with Furcal was when he hit a homerun, he'd start trying to hit more and send him on streaks of "0 for a week"
