When you're out past two in a hummer limo, bad things happen. That's why I only go out in my shitty Volvo.

Sucks when life is terminated so early in life. Hopefully, more players learn from this tragedy.

So very sad, so young, his poor family and friends

I'm kind of surprised this hasn't gotten more attention

Yeah, I mean its not like he was a no-name player, he had a great season this year. This should serve as a lesson to people, its probably not the brightest idea to leave a nightclub in the ghetto in a white hummer limo. Chances are, something bad is going to happen, just like Falcon Pride said. His poor family, wow. How stupid.

His story is basically the victim of not playing for a big market team. Look at Lidle ... now look at this.

The Lidle incident is what came to my mind as well, heck ESPN has the rose bowl as the main story, with knight's 880 wins and nfl coach firings as bigger stories

Although you are probably right, people are people, no matter what team you play for. Heck, I'm motivated to write to espn and tell em. Thats just rude.

They've got to pimp the only BCS bowl that isn't property of Fox. It's ridiculous that this is happening the way it is.

I am just totally incredulous. TV networks care about money, money, and more money, but no, not humanity. I feel sick over this, I really do.

Really? Incredulous? They are in the business of making money and you are surprised that they focus on it? TV networks are not in the business of humanity.

End the discussion about it not being talked about. I can already see this is going to turn into something other than the death of Darrent Williams if it keeps going in that direction.

Honestly - so what? It might seem cold to say this, but it's not like everyone knew Darrent Williams and has their favorite Darrent Williams story.

Does that mean you should ignore the death of a person? If you died, would you want people to be like,. oh its not like everybody knew Falconpride and have their favorite falconpride stories.

Seriously, get a grip.

No, but I wouldn't care too much if the discussion about me went somewhere else. Hell, if my death could create a discussion, I'll be happy. It's not ignoring the death of someone to have a discussion head somewhere else.

I'm sure some do. You act like his life doesn't matter. Hell, let's not have any remorse for his death. I guess to have any feelings about someone's death you have to have a personal favorite story about the person...

You're moving up on the idiocy chart to me. You've gotten under the skin of many. I hope your attitude changes sometime because you're fitting right in with Nate and the reasons he has been banned multiple times. I appreciate your activity, but we could do without your constant negative posts. You seems to post negativity just for the sake of posting negativity.

It's not ignoring the death of someone to have a discussion head somewhere else. Also, you may not care, but I do. I don't want to have stupid arguements going on in a thread, basically hi-jacking a thread. Threads require topics for a reason, keep it on that ... nothing more, nothing less.

I don't act like his life doesn't matter. I also don't act like a President or a great singer died and then wax sadness when the discussion morphs into the fact that ESPN and the like don't care.

"The idiocy chart?" Ban me, okay. God forbid anyone ever see things differently with you guys. It's not negative to have a difference of opinion. Oh, I'm sure you'll claim it's a difference because of an opinion, but whatever. Everyone bang the drum the same way.

I'm with you on the fact we shouldn't think everyone is going to get a huge memorial or anything, but he's an athlete, and a good one at that. If they devoted an entire day to Cory Lidle, what's keeping them from doing that with Darrent Williams.

Neither of these men made a huge impact on their sport, but the only thing that keeps ESPN from talking much about it is the New York media bias.

That's all that should be said, not debating whether or not he is deserving of the treatment. Fact is, if Williams isn't, neither was Lidle ... but we all saw that.

I'm not banning anyone over a difference of opinion, that's what this is here for. I will ban someone if they cross the line and it seems like they are posting things just to get under the skin of others. That's trolling in my book, which is not allowed here. I was just letting you know that you're headed in that direction and I'm not the only one seeing it.

I know you probably have other message boards you could post on, so I'm not trying to "threaten" you. I'm just letting you know.

FalconPride

Well, if you feel I am trolling, you are welcome to ban me. It's your message board after all and you're right that I do have other message boards to post on so I won't shred any tears. I'm going to continue to call it like I see it and if that's considered trolling...then I guess we have a difference of opinion.

Well its fine to have a different opinion, but it seems like you don't care that a person is dead. This guy had a trip planned, not for a girlfriend or whatever, to his hometown to talk to kids about not using drugs and gangs. This was a great person, and I would expect sme remorse when someone dies. That is sick if that is what you truly think. Totally sick.

New news, he was at a party celebrating Denver Nugget's player Kenyon Martin's birthday and New Year's Eve. Martin was not in the limo.

I saw that hotcorner...and ESPN did run it as their top story on the late edition of sportscenter. Perhaps they were waiting for more details, but they did run it ahead of Knight & the other stories.

A very sad, disappointing story.
