i got a message on my myspace, which i rarely check, but i happened to read the braves-nation email, and then i signed up. i was on braves.net for a while but diddnt like it that much, but i figured i would give this one a shot. and the rest is history.

thinking about this is what motivated me to create this thread, i wanted to know how people found the site.

we have 120+ friends on MySpace, but i wonder how many friends have actually checked out the site.

I found it through this thing called "Yoono," which is a browser plugin for Firefox. It refers you to similar sites based on the one you're surfing at the time. I was at the AJC Braves page and Yoono told me about this site. Glad it did too.

uh....you, KB, Hobbes...if i forgot anyone, i apologize. those are the ones that spring to mind. i don't think many from the ChopNation community have bothered with us mainly because we're still viewed as some of the Misfits (and if i'm wrong, feel free to correct me...that's just my guess).

How long has this place been up and running?

um....mid September i think is when we went live, it went up rather quickly. the decision to start it happened and the site was up like the same day or maybe the next...i think.

That picture thing was...messy. I didn't like the idea at all, although I can't imagine why anyone would want to post pictures of themselves online. I had one picture on that thread and I immediately took it down as soon as that stuff started.

Seriously, though, that was the only seriously messed up thing I thought any "Misfits" did. That and the stuff with Jan, because she's way too sweet for that kind of abuse.

i think we can. we've seen mistakes made on TOS and we (McCarroll, Jsh, and myself) have been here since the beginning and are committed to the success of this site.

Now, the question is:
Can you keep it up?We'll have to see what the future holds but I have no reason to think we can't at this time. We're working to get the name out there to as many as we can. As long as we keep the activity up around here, it will stay. The only thing I can promise though is that it won't be abondoned and left up to the members of the site to keep it going entirely. I may have some time that I have to leave for one reason or another, but I can assure you that there will always be enough moderation power here to keep it under control.
