In a matchup of the top 2 teams in the country, The Dawgs looked to make an early season statement that they are the team to beat in 2008. The Sooners got the ball to start the game and quickly gave it up as Prince Miller picked off the Oklahoma QB's pass on the 4th play of the drive. Georgia would take advantage of the turnover on a 7 play drive that ended with a 9 yard TD Run by Moreno. The Sooners would turn a 7 play drive into a game tying 20 yard TD, but would give the lead right back as A.Allen would take the kickoff 94 Yards for the 14-7 lead after 1 quarter of play. The Dawgs added another Moreno TD run in the 2nd to go up 21-7, with a OK field goal making it 21-10 at the half. Georgia added 3 more points to go up 24-10 thanks to a 48 yard field go by M.Walsh. The Sooners would get the score a little closer thanks to an 88 yard INTwith 6 secs remaining to put the final score at 24-17.

The Canes got the ball to start the game. They would put together a decent drive of 9 plays 54 yard getting it down inside the Georgia 25 Yard line, before missing a 39 yard Field go attempt. The Dawgs would then get the ball and march down the field needing just 4 plays to go 80 yards on the score ending with a 16 yard TD Catch by K.Harris. Miami would be forced to punt on the 2nd drive. UGA would go down the field and send the Field go unit on the field. Welsh would knock it in from 38 yards to put the bulldogs up 10-0. The final 4 Drives of the 1st half would go Punt,Turnover on Downs(Dropped pass by T.Chandler),Fumble on Sack, INT. The Dawgs would get the ball to start the 2nd half and took advantage needing only a few plays to see Morneo get his 3rd TD Run of the season going 46 yards for the score. Miami would get the ball and finaly get on the Board as #9 hooked up with #83 for the 2 yard score. Georgia would get the 7 points back thanks to another TD Catch from K.Harris this time for 8 yards. #9 would sneak the ball in for 7 to get back with in 10 points of #1 ranked bulldogs, before Welsh again knocked it in from 38 yards to put the Dawgs up 27-14.

The Dawgs looked to seek revenge of last years 16-12 upset in Athens at the hand of the Gamecocks in their Rain filled SEC Opener. USC would get the ball to start the 1st half and drive down the field before turning it over own downs. UGA in return would go 11 plays for 71 yards ending on a 14 yard TD run by Moreno. The next 2 drives would go SC Punt, UGA INT which the Gamecocks would turn into a 3 yard TD pass by Smelley. UGA got the ball to star the 2nd half of the 7-7 game, only to see Moreno fumble after nice 1st down catch. SC would punt the ball away on there drive. UGA would take the ball and march 61 yards down the field on 10 plays including a 1 yard TD Run by Moreno to redeem his earlier fumble. Prince Miller would force and Recover a USC Fumble, and then the fans would see both Geogia and South Carolina turn the ball over on downs on consecutive drives. The Gamecocks would then pick of Stafford for the 2nd time in the game with Smelley hooking up with his RB on 6 yard score to tie the game at 14. Georgia would turn it over on downs again, before seeing South Carolina miss a 50 yarder to send it to OT. The Gamescocks got the ball 1st and after failing to score a TD kicked a chip shot in to go up 17-14. The Dawgs wouldn't take long to Answer as Stafford quickly hooked up with Massaquoi for 25 yard TD Pass on the 1st play of the drive to give Georgia the 20-17 Victory.

The Devils won the coin toss and elected to get the first shot at the end zone...Prince Miller quickly showed the Dawgs had other things in mind as he picked Carpenter's pass off on the first play off the drive taking it 47 yards the other way for the 7-0 Georgia lead. Georgia's defense would hold steady again forcing the Sun Devils to punt on their 2nd drive. The Dawgs would need just 4 plays to put 7 more on the board thanks to 73 yard drive capped off by 41 yard score by Moreno. Arizona St. would be forced to punt again, but this time would have a little luck go there way as Moreno would muff the catch allowing Arizona to put 3 points on the board after a 37 yard Field Goal. Moreno and the boys went back to work quickly on their next possession with Stafford and Moreno hooking up on the 1st play for a 69 yard TD pass, 60 of which would come after the catch...After another ASU drive ended in a punt, UGA would go 77 yards on 11 plays ending in a 5 yard touchdown reception by Durham to put the bully's up 28-3. The Sun Devils would finally get a 2nd positive drive this time connecting on a 49 yard attempt to cut the lead to 28-6 . Georgia would take there next drive in for 7 more thanks to #24 Goal Line stab ended 8 play 67 yard drive. The score at the half: 35-6 UGA.Georgia got the ball to start the 2nd half using 12 plays to get 83 yards and a 29 yard Field Goal to go up 38-6. The Devils would punt the ball away again, setting up a 2 yard run by Moreno after a 9 play 71 yard drive. All was not done yet, just as the Sun Devils drove down the field looking to build something to work on in there next game Carpenter's pass was picked off in the end zone by Ramarcus Brown who would take the pick a school record 102 yards to give the bulldogs the 52-6 Win on the road vs the #10 team in the country.
