My mother is a nurse, what type of nursing are you doing? She worked in surgery for years and has since moved out into worker's comp/case management. Now she owns her own business and is one of the more trusted worker's comp nurses in this part of the state.
And thanks for signing up, I noticed you played games for a few days before you spoke on the message board. Hopefully that means you enjoy some of what we offer. The only bad thing (I say this jokingly) is that you are going to force me from refraining to everyone on here as "guys."

well, i will be working at St. Mary's hospital in athens on the neuroscience floor... basically the patients will have had strokes, head injuries, spinal cord injuries, etc. anything neurological, really. i seriously considered going to the OR, but i want to eventually be a nurse anesthetist and i need some icu experience and my supervisor said she'd cross train me in the neuro icu. i love the OR and surgeries, though. also, i'm jealous of your mom. i'd love to have her experience.
and i promise i won't be offended if you call us "guys". the guy nursing students had to deal with people referring to nurses as "she" or "her" so, i suppose i can deal with that, too! thanks for the welcome!
