Just downloaded the demo for Madden, It looks awesome. They got this new feature when you go through some drills and it customizes the difficulty based on your performance I really like it. So who all is getting this game?

Just wondering... do they have clear visors in this game? I know in 08 they only had dark and orange ones, and for some reason they never put in the clear visors that almost half the players in the league uses lol... might buy this game, but i'll probably end up not doing so. NBA 2k8's coming out in about two months so I'll probably just wait for that.

Ummmm?:confused: Have you not even looked at this years new features or something? It's nothing like the past few years games. The defensive play is different, the running game is different, it's harder to kick field goals, the camera angles are different, they have a new player rating which adjusts to your style of play, the graphics are f'n amazing, they broadcasters are awesome (Tom Hammond and Chris Collinsworth compared to the stupid radio style on the last few years games), pregame show and half-time show....ect. Yeah, this game is totally a roster update from the last few years, nothing more. :rolleyes:

He still does the announcing on the ps2 version. On all the other versions he just appears to give instructions and all that stuff.

i picked up a copy from the rental place...it's better then 08, but other then rosters and the virtural trainer i'm not sure i'll be buying it...I think I'll probally just pick up NCAA 09(unless someone knows how to mod ncaa 08 for the ps3 to get The Black Out Uni's for UGA)

scratch that....I will be getting Madden...for free...my Credit Card has it as a reward option for my pts on my Braves Card....good enough of a game to get for free :) technically at least

I hate EA Sports.
Why? I would much rather have EA Sports than 2K. Ever since EA lost out on major league baseball, playing baseball has sucked! I kept a copy of MVP '05 and it is still better than 2K8!
I love Madden but after buying it year after year just for the roster updates, I think I might have to pass, even though I would love to see Adrian Peterson dominate. I think I am going to get NCAA instead, run some option!

u must have an xbox instead of PS, becuase MLB The Show IMO is a very good quality baseball game...

I played Madden yesterday at a friend's house and enjoyed it, but not enough to make me go buy it. NCAA will be the only football game in my console this year.

I do have an xbox but I have played The Show and I agree that it is a good game, alot better than 2K that I am stuck with, until I break down and buy that PS3!

I made a couple topics in Operation Sports, it's about random topics on Madden... so I was thinking I'll post them here.
Questions in Simming in Franchise
Does the outcome of the game change at all with the way you sim it? For example, will the game have a different outcome if I simmed it on the menu or if I watched the game without controlling anyone?
roster update questions
I have a couple of questions on the roster updates.
1) Does EA Sports release roster updates after every week of the playoffs?
2) When do the final roster updates usually get released?
And finally, I want to ask you guys... what team do you think is the most interesting or worthwhile to rebuild in Madden? While I'm waiting for the final roster updates to be released, I'm thinking of starting a sim franchise to rebuild a crumbling franchise. I'm thinking Oakland, Kansas City, or maybe even Detroit. But I'm still not sure yet, any ideas on that one?

I actually just started a new franchise. The rosters are set as the would be rosters if my mock draft from last year (http://www.draftcountdown.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17532) came true. My quarterback is Redman, but Flacco has played very well in preseason... he's been playing more like Matt Ryan than Ryan himself! But maybe it's just because I'm better playing with stronger armed quarterbacks. My starting RB is Norwood, and I have Forte coming off the bench, and Dunn too. Norwood carries it around 15 times, Forte 10, and Dunn around 5 or whenever he needs to. My receivers are terrible, and my offensive line is kind of bad, but I make quick reads and Flacco can dart the ball out of the pocket real quick. I know... Flacco is more like Ryan in the game than Ryan is himself!
