MLB 08 The Show

I am playing MLB 08 on the ps2. I am doing a franchise mode with the Braves.
Here is my lineup:

The Braves win this pithcing duel game 2-0. The Braves scored the 2 runs on a Kotsay 2 rbi single in the second, Kotsay finished the day 4-5. Chipper, Teixeira, and McCann went a combined 0-14 with 2 BB, and 2 SO.
Smoltz did an amazing job getting a opening day win. He pitched 7 innings giving up 0 runs, 2 hits, 3 BB, and 2 SO. Soriano recieved the save.

Pirates (0-0) at Braves (1-0)

Braves again score 2 runs, but this time that wasnt enought as Hudson goes 4 1/3 innings giving up 6 hits, 3 runs, 3 BB, and 2 SO. The Braves give up 4 more runs to lose the game 7-2. McCann again goes hitless to start the season 0 for 8.

Game 3:
Pirates (1-0) at Braves (1-1)

The Braves fall on the short end of this pitching duel. Glavine pitches a perfect 7 innings with 4 hits, 0 runs, 1 BB, and 3 SO. Moylan is not so lucky as he gives up 2 runs on 3 hits in the top of the 8th. The Braves score 1 run in the bottom of the 8th to bring the score to 2-1. Soriano pitches the top of the 9th giving up no runs. In the bottom of the ninth the Braves have bases loaded with 2 outs and Escobar pops out to second to end the game. McCann gets his first hit today going 1 for 4. Chipper goes 0 for 4 bringing his average down to .167. Kotsay leads the braves with average at .667 through 12 at-bats.

Game 4:
Pirates (2-0) at Braves (1-2)

Braves get swept by the Pirates as they lose 8-1. Jurrjens pitched 7 innings giving up 3 runs on 7 hits, 2 BB, and 2 SO, but that wasnt enought for the win. The Braves have a .299 team average, but they are not producing when runners are in scoring position only hitting .143 when runners are in scoring position. The Braves bullpen is also not producing with a 9.28 bullpen ERA. Chipper went 0 for 4 again bringing his average down to .125 but Kotsay on the other hand went 3 for 4 bringing his average up to .688 after 16 at-bats.

Mets (1-2) at Braves (1-3)

The Braves win this one in the late innings, scoring two runs in the bottom of the 8th giving them a 3-2 lead. Soriano came in in the top of the 9th and recieved the save. Hampton did a great job but he didn't recieve any help from his offence as he went 7 innings giving up 1 run on 7 hits, 1 BB, and 2 SO.

Game 6:
Mets (1-3) at Braves (2-3)

Smoltz again had a Cy-Young start, but the Braves offence still didn't do anything. Smoltz went 6 innings giving up 0 runs on 5 hits, 2 BB, and 6 SO in his no-decision. Teixeira came up big in the bottom of the 7th with a solo shot to left to give the Braves a 1-0 lead and that is all Gonzalez and Soriano needed to finish the game. Braves win 1-0.
