Not sure about the second thing, but coming into tonight, the first spot in the order has made the most outs. Out of 333 plate appearances, they've made an out 218 times. No surprise there, considering that spot comes up the most, though. Going by OBP, the ninth spot is the worst, at .267.

I was being facetious. I think McDowell is a good pitching coach. It's not his fault that injuries have forced Cox (and him?) to use all those bullpen pitchers. I'd be glad to have him in the system if it comes to that.
