A lot of people have said that? I've thought that all he needs to do is start an inning and he'd be pretty good. Once it was announced that he would be able to start, I figured he'd be able to do that, because he had some success doing it in the minors in an offensive enviroment (PCL). I just never thought that he would be that good! :)

Believe me I love gamers, but both almost got hurt on the exact same play earlier in the game and the second time he goes even higher to break it up and Esco had nowhere to go except over and it was the worst consequence.

Well I think you gotta evaluate if it was a hard tough slide or if he was really "aiming" for Esco the last time. I think you go in, cleats down, where you can touch the bag. If those are met I think it was a good slide, but in the PIC he's sitting way way high....so without seeing it real time I would say he went in too high...it was borderline to me.

Edit: I just saw the video and Church has to be able to touch the base to make that a good play and he couldn't. Also, he is lucky the ball didn't take out his jaw, it was a mere inch or so from his face.
