He took the loss, though, because the A's were blanked by Paul Byrd over 7 1/3 innings. Hopefully, that 9th inning from yesterday can carry over and we can get to Duchscherer today. He hasn't allowed more than two earned runs in any of his starts this season.

Since you have nothing better to read....
The Braves fell to the A's last night 5-4. The A's had lost four in a row prior to last night and just a half game behind the Angels. That was just their second win on the three city trip. Braves send lefty Jo-Jo Reyes to the mound, the A's have seen 16 lefty's...the most in the AL. They are 7-9 batting as a team .237 against southpaws. Only four of the A's 24 home runs came against lefty's.
The Braves bullpen pitched four scoreles innings last night and extended its streak to 12. The pen has an ERA of 2.01 in May with only two home runs in 44.2 innings. Braves snapped their eight game home winning streak last night. Only Boston now has a better record at home with their 16-5 mark...Braves are at 15-5. Today is Jo-Jo Reyes's first start against the AL. His last start matched a career high in IP with 6.2.

Hey, don't be bringing that up! It seems like it's been a lot longer than two years though. Guess it could be because I'm trying to block that out of my memory. :D

I think it has been. I was going by Baseball Tonight. Hampton pitched that game against him, so it had to have been more than two years.
Edit: It was four years.

Yeah, Hampton went nine in that game and gave up two runs. He dropped to 0-5. When Jesse Garcia is your starting shortstop and leading off at the same time... well, don't expect much. :P

Well it's always a disappointment when you can't get the W. But i'd like to think that my four previous games are more of the performance that can be expected next time i'm out there.

Jo-Jo gave up a homer in an otherwise good inning in the first. McCann got us even in the bottom of the first with a double. Jo-Jo danced around trouble in the second and we put together a bit of small ball in the bottom half to take the lead 3-1.
Petit got his first hit. McCann tried to bunt for a hit. Jeff got hit by a pitch. Jeff got thrown out by a mile trying to make it 4-1.
GrandMasterB

Could I get a quick game recap?
Crosby homers in the first to give Oakland a 1-0 lead.
McCann ties it with an RBI double in the bottom of the inning.
Jo-Jo can't find the strikezone and loads the bases, but he gets out without allowing a run in the second.
Escobar hits a 2-run single in the bottom of the second to put the Braves on top, 3-1.
