Great win and big win, watched it on mlb extra innings with my father.

Also watched the end of the Rangers/Astros game, Villarreal with possibly the worst pitching peformance ever. Villarreal gave up 3 HRs , 1 Triple, 2 singles, a BB and 6 Runs in 1 inning. If it wasn't for two great defensive players more runs would have scored. Hamilton is a beast 5 for 5, 2 HRs, 2singles, 1 triple, damn Oscar walked him in his opportunity for the cycle.

The A's are 22nd in baseball in hitting at .250....I didn't see a .300 hitter in their lineup.

They are 2nd to last in home runs and near the bottom in Doubles.

They're 10th in OBP meaning they'll take some pitches but almost dead last in slugging.

They are a very lucky team to be where they are in the standings....by comparison we have way better stats across the board and look where we are.

That being said, to sum up why they are where they are in the standings, they have the 2nd best ERA in baseball. They are tough to hit.

They have 191 runs score though, I do not know how. My assumption is they manufacture a lot of runs with sacrifices and ABC baseball.

I don't see why an O like ours couldn't get on track against these guys and take the series or even sweep it.

I have no idea how they are where they are.

Don't assume. That isn't how the Oakland A's play baseball. They take a lot of walks, work a lot of counts, and hit in timely positions.

Yah, I couldn't figure out how a team hitting 50 points lower than us scores almost as many runs...They make up for not hitting well, by hitting when they have guys on.
