On pace to get 46 HRs in his first 1000 ABs. How many players have ever gotten 50 HRs in their first 1000 ABs?

i dont think thats too easy of a stat to look up, but pujols, cabrera, morneau, howard are all likely candidates

He will also have like a .300 OBP in his first 1000 ABs

But his OBP has been getting better lately. He's showing signs, but he's obviously not completely there yet.

While not a set list of players who have done it, to put Frenchy's accomplishment into perspective, until Ryan Howard, no player had ever hit more than 76 HRs in their first 1000 ABs.
Wait, actually, here's a list of most HR in first 1000 ABs...

I think he's exceeded his talent level and will now be a "disappointment" in Philadelphia for a few years. Of course, this is saying .310/35/125 is a disappointment. I just think that the Philly fans (as rabid as they are) will start expecting years like this out of him and will feel let down next year when he puts up numbers more like those I listed.
