Not sure on the lineups, but I wanted to get it up so we could start talking.

We're going for our fourth home sweep of the year, along with a perfect homestand. We're facing Wofrada Ladzmoa.

Let's go to work!

Although, I did predict in my pregame blog that Infante would play for Chipper. You know Bobby wanted to rest him, given the seven games in seven days road trip coming up, and they're not getting a day off to start or end the trip.

With Chipper on a mission to play 150 games and swinging it the way he is right now, it's got to be like trying to convince a five year old there is no Santa Clause or Tooth Fairy to get him out of the lineup right now.

That's why I bring it up. I wonder if Bobby asked Chipper if he wanted to sit. Did Chipper say instead that he wanted to play? Was there even the discussion? I may go down stairs and find out. Though, I am lazy and considering I won't report on the game till its over, I can just find out postgame.

LOL! I can see it...

Setting: Yesterday afternoon, 4 P.M.

Yunel: Hey Brayan, Bobby needs to see you in his office.

Brayan: Cool, thanks man.

Brayan walks into Bobby's office.

Brayan: Hello Mr. Cox, I was told you were looking for me?

Bobby: Well, Brayan. You were our number one hitter off the bench and we traded for this Norton fella. Now Prado is hurt and we need a shortstop so we're going to activate Infante.

Brayan: Okay...

Bobby: So, you see. You're going to have to take one for the team and go to the disabled list. I'm telling you now though, you're probably not going to be a Brave much longer because we don't have room for you on the roster and you're out of options.

Brayan: So my last act as a Brave is to go hurt myself?

Bobby: I'm sorry it had to come to this, but if you could, during BP today, could you tweak your back?

Brayan: If you think it will help the team win. I'm a team player.

Bobby: Brayan, I told you that you're probably not going to be on our team much longer.

Brayan: Yeah, but unless I'm going to be a Padre I can't help anyone else win today.

Bobby lights up cigar

Bobby: Good man.

In terms of being a backup catcher, yes. In terms of hitting, not a chance. The problem is that we now have better PH options than Pena, and they can field positions. So, sorry Pena, have a nice time with the _____.

How has Chipper managed to raise his batting average on the homestand? Don't give me the obvious, taking me serious answer by saying he's hit .526/.609/1.000 - 1.609 on the homestand so far, but seriously...

He was batting .410 coming into the homestand and has raised his average. Does anyone else understand he could go 2-for-5 and LOWER his average? Yet he's raised his average over the last five games.

That's just crazy!

For it to not be a huge slump, Chipper will have to hit about .380 this year.

The advertising covers things for the site (server, licensing fees, domain fees, etc.).

I just got an email back from my host that kind of explained things. They suspended an account that is sharing our server. That account was eating up too much of the server load. He can thank me (and a Braves fan that works for the support at our host company) for getting suspended. :)
