has Kotsay ever hit lefties good?
maybe we should platoon diaz and kotsay in left and let blanco play center while he's hot

Kotsay's splits are virtually identical against righties/lefites in his career.

I thought about that...but Kotsay has proven to be pretty good defensively. Blanco is only hitting .222 against leftys. I'll Take Kotsay's .167 with his glove over Blanco's .222 (2-9). I'm not saying Blanco stinks it up out there, he's just not as good, in my opinion, as Kotsay with the leather.

Alright, Huddy, I expect another shutout! The Padres' offense is going even worse than the Reds' was.
McCarroll21
05-07-2008, 06:51 PM
The difference right now with Kotsay is that his BAbip against righties is .426 and his BAbip against lefties is .184. Eventually those will level off to his career average (.304 against righties, .297 against lefties) and the splits will even out.
Ok, time for a little update for you rumor junkies out there. Ben Broussard is expected to be released in a week's time, Freddy Garcia will throw off the hill in a week or two, the Brew Crew won't eat any of Turnbow's salary is anyone wants to trade for him, and oh yeah, we're not expected to resign Tex.
GO BRAVOS!!!!!

We normally hit Wolf pretty hard.
In 23 games (21 starts), Wolf has a 5.02 ERA in 118.1 innings against the Braves. He has a 4.89 ERA in 73.2 innings at Turner Field.

MRI and bone scan negative on Soriano, which, of course, is positive (meaning no tears, no stress fractures, etc).

PCV, Huddy tried the fake to third, look at first move and they called a balk on it. I think they said he stepped toward home instead of third. It was a horrible call and Bobby got ejected because by rule, you can't argue a balk call (just get an explanation of why they called it and that's it).
