Schoenweis next inning would be the smartest move by the Mets. Good thing Kelly and Gregor hit lefties pretty well.
Two lefties in a row and who wanted McCann to hit 3rd. That would be three in a row.

No it wouldn't because we both said Prado should hit second, thus no back-to-back lefties.

I don't really listen to him that often, but I know I thought that ball was gone. Maybe on other hits he does a Chip impersonation, but I think that was a legit home run type call.

Ok, I'm listening to the Mets announcers now
I am sick and tired of Pete making every ball hit to the outfield sound like it was a home run...does this guy have no depth perception or something? Tex hits a fly ball caught by Church and makes it sound like a home run, especially after he said Beltran won't get it. This is pathetic to say the least.

Me too, and since I like to watch baseball and don't want to listen to the radio I shell out the cash anyway. You can either pay for mlb.tv/extra innings, or continue to listen to it on the radio. Listening to it on the radio and complaining the whole time on this forum probably isn't an option.

I think most of us here can understand why that would prevent you from getting one of the packages that would allow you to watch the games, but remember that it's your choice to not watch. If it's your choice to not watch, you're not going to get much sympathy from others when you're whining about what you've chosen as your best option.
At least you're listening to the right team, though.
I guess I'll just say that the Braves have had three or four balls hit to the warning track that would have been gone had the sun been out or in a different park. They were hit well, just didn't carry.

Both of them have their problems, and Smoltz... well, you almost have to expect this from him every now and then if he's going to pitch with such a bad shoulder. As for Hudson, it's his inconsistency cropping up again. If he insists that there's nothing wrong with his health, then it could be simply location.

Chuck61686

With the depth of our starting rotation, I say we give Smoltz some serious time off (ie. three starts) once Hampton is re-activated...if Smoltz's shoulder is having problems this early in the season, we must address it now, not later.

Braves.com:
Smoltz's postgame reaction could have come from the frustration of losing consecutive starts or experiencing his worst start of the season on the day after Hudson lasted just three innings for the second time in three starts. There's also a chance that the veteran hurler has gained the belief that the tightness that has existed between his neck and shoulder is actually a sign that he is battling a more serious injury.
Before heading to Washington with his teammates early Sunday evening, Smoltz said there's a chance he could return to Atlanta within the next few days for further medical evaluation. Thus, it's safe to say he's certainly questionable for Saturday's scheduled start against the Reds.
:bricks: The news just keep on coming..*sigh*...... the way im seeing things here....there's a serious chance Smoltz is going to the DL again.....*gulp*
