no it was the top.... when you square to bunt, you slide your top hand up and leave your bottom hand on the handle...

No kidding, that's right.
Except I'd LOVE to take Juan Cruz back right now! He had an awesome '04 for us and he's doing fabulous this year. Too bad he plays for the DBacks and they won't trade him since they're a contender.

Although that division is deep, somebody has to fall off the wagon by the deadline, leaving the trade possibilities open. Depending on their team's success I've heard that a number of people could become available.

Great game tonight. Good to see Jurrjens regain his composure and have a very solid night after that shaky inning. Also nice to see Cox helping out in the Umpire Fantasy League, as usual.

Most of all, shout-out to all the drunk Braves fans who slugged and gave beer showers to the Mets fans, according to WFAN.

Great win for the Braves. Jurrjens had a great outing minus that 3rd inning, but that seemed to be more a case of base calls by the ump to me. Kelly had a great game and look forward to Hudson's outing tomorrow.

As good as Jair has been let's give a couple more months before we get too excited.

McCarroll21
04-26-2008, 02:42 AM
The four walks are uncharacteristic for Jair, but I was proud to see that he bounced back and was able to go out there and finish his job.

Proud to see the offense picked Jair up after letting Pelfrey off the hook in the first inning.

Good win all around. Sucks we're going to be without Yunel for a little bit but at least it's not broken or anything. The good part about that is that Prado is swinging the bat well enough to step in without too much of a drop off.

Can't say enough about Blanco and the job he's done filling in. Wouldn't be surprised to see him start in LF tomorrow against Maine to give us another lefty in the lineup.

I second this as well. There's no need to anoint him as the third starter on this team. He may be more talented than Glavine right now, but don't forget about what Glavine brings to the table. He brings consistency to the middle of the rotation. Jair has been awesome, but there's a reason why Tommy was brought back to this team.

He's a great bridge from the "sure thing" in Huddy and Smoltz to the "good enough to win, but not sure" with Jurrjens, Hampton, James, etc.

Why do they always release the lineups so late in New York?

and it appears that Escobar will miss atleast the rest of this series.
