Because he rolled up 80 pitches, he was out of the game after three innings. He wasn't involved in the decision. In his first start, on April 13 at Houston, he lasted five-plus innings in a loss. Would it be against the rules to post a link where those of us Braves fans who have gotten screwed out of watching games due to the realignment of Braves TV stations can find the game?
(E.G. I am in a "Braves market" but my Cable provider doesn't carry SportSouth. I only get FSS/Peachtree(CSS). Therefore half of all Braves games aren't on TV and can't be watched on MLB.tv due to blackout. So I watch on my computer.)
Anyone else in the same spot?

If the way you're watching on the computer isn't through mlb.tv, then no, I wouldn't allow it.
If you're watching through something like sopcast or tvants, we're not going to have it posted on here because they're illegal.

Look at his stats last year. I think some folks last year thought he was the next center fielder, or at least a viable option. Never had much power and never will but good OBP and AVG with speed.

That still doesn't mean that would have done well. By that logic, I expect Barbaro Canizares to be able to replace Teixeira immediately next season.

I thought I saw something a few weeks ago that mentioned the first of May. Not sure though.
He played in an extended spring game tonight, or was supposed to.
4/23 - INF Omar Infante, recovering from a fractured right hand, will play in extended spring training games (http://www.ajc.com/search/content/shared-gen/ap/Baseball_Game_Stories/BBN_Marlins_Braves.html) Thursday.
If he played in games today, he's probably about a week to 10 days from coming back. I believe that was the timetable for his rehab assignment.

Just got done with a round of golf.
Looks like Larry has had a decent day.
Eh... just 3-for-3. Only one RBI and no walks. Pfft! Pretty mediocre if ya ask me.

LOL! I know you're joking but it's crazy that he's set the bar that high for himself this year and last to be able to even make that statement.

I know a lot of people have griped about it and have had reason to, but I love a large portion of our bullpen. I hope Glavine coming off the DL leads to Resop being DFA'd. After that, we'll be going good. Then when Gonzalez and Soriano come back, it'll be full of guys with "closer stuff."

Funny catch by Blanco there. Bobby would have been pissed if that ball was dropped.

Can't wait for Resop to be DFA'd! Really thought that guy had turned a corner out of spring training. Was WRONG! Wish we still had Yates in lieu of this guy. With Gonzo coming back and Soriano, we should be a great shape.

I agree with you. When they are back, hopefully still have all of their stuff, we will be set in the bullpen.

Resop isn't any better or any worse than Yates but he's more expendable because his contract won't hurt as much to eat. Chances of him being picked up are slim and he goes to Richmond ... assuming he's DFA'd anyway.

It was pretty predictable that Resop would suck in the majors, I called it before his first pitch this season, but well.
As for Yates, he's sporting a sparkling 5 ERA for the Pirates, why would you want him back?

If we could have a do-over on any of the trades, I'd stick Devine in our bullpen and Blanco in center with the way he's played. Of course, when the trade was made we had no clue Blanco would play like this and that Devine would be mowing them down in Oakland.

I like the Kotsay acquisition and think the world of him but he does lead the league in hitting into double plays. Its only April and Blanco hasn't been exposed long but he may end up playing a good amount if he can continue to display his ability.

I must say that I am impressed with this Marlins ballclub considering their youth and payroll. This team has a real chance to be good for an extended period of time in the near future. Once their new stadium is built and they can manage to keep some of their good young players around, this will be another force to deal with in the East.
